Here are some "Program Ideas" to have a look at which may help you in deciding what type/s of activities would suit your needs, and to see just how flexible the programs are.

Inner City Teambuilding With A Difference!!

This PCO had a week to organise an inner city program for a group of senior executives of a big beverage company. Each executive arrived on the back of a chrome humming Harley Davidson having just had an hour tour of the city.
With adrenaline pumping through their body we met with them all in a secluded inner city park and ran a two-hour circuit of teambuilding challenges.

This being their first time together we ensured that every one got involved and were able to successfully achieve the challenges. At the end of the program they then joined a chartered boat and had a late evening cruise on the Harbour to relax and socialise together.

“The afternoon flowed brilliantly and the feedback was fantastic.”

A Major Furniture Retailer That Had Done It All Before – Well That’s What They Thought Until ‘Good To Great’ Was Launched

With 200 delegates from all round Australia we were given an amazing day and half for teambuilding for their National Conference. But the biggest challenge was that they had done 8 years of consecutive teambuilding programs and did not want more of the same!! Yes they were the ultimate teambuilding junkies!!

With their support we designed the ‘Good to Great’ Teambuilding Program and redesigned our Corporate Kendo program so that it would have a dramatic and staged opening for the 200 delegates and an incredible finale.

The finale involved dressing delegates in full Samurai clothing and having duels with skilled opponents. The program was built around self-leadership and looked at the inner strength both physically and mentally that people needed to fulfil their dreams. The delegates partook in both a leadership kendo program for half a day and then swapped over to the second part of the program that focussed on teamwork and customer service.

After running many teambuilding conferences we were looking for a WOW factor this year. The Kendo certainly fitted the bill. Everyone finished the day on a high with a sense of satisfaction and a real team high.

Hexxland - A Night To Dress Up and Play!!

Following a big day of Teambuilding this National Medical Supply Company chose to play Hexxland in the evening after dinner. Every one played a special role, from the mad and charismatic President Gorgonzola to Count De Monie who runs that National Bank and always plays to win in the banks favor! The game is played on two huge boards and looks like a 3D monopoly set. With drama and intrigue and a much-needed glass of wine every one had a fun and enjoyable evening.

A Forensic Group Goes Ballistic

This client had just experienced phenomenal growth over the last 12 months and taken on 30% new staff. They wanted a memorable teambuilding experience that went beyond simulation activities. So that’s what we did.

With their Forensic skills and some equipment we sent them out into the bush to retrieve a large communication system. With a map and a compass; and some clues they had the task of retrieving the tower but had to overcome some major challenges on the way. This included merging the two teams together and this built on co-operation and communication themes.
The program got the delegates out of the conference room and with each other where they had to rely on each other and work together to solve the mission. The program went over two afternoons and blended in magnificently with the business sessions.

The program met the group’s objectives of promoting teamwork, addressing some challenges and allowing people to get to better know each other. Even the cynics reported that it was far better than what they had anticipated!

Merger of two Financial Institutions is literally played out in the field

This large financial and successful Organisation wanted a program that would deal with confronting change for their managers as they were currently embarking on a major merger. From this need the Immunity Challenge was run, where teams are voted out based on performance and are required to merge with other teams. This precisely mirrored with their current business environment and brought out issues relating to integration and inclusion of others. A fun program that includes a whole range of team activities.

Getting closer to the Customer was a crucial theme for this
Pharmaceutical Group

Having just spent a few days strategising and building a business plan, this client wanted to get her delegates out of the headspace of theorising and into testing the groups commitment on the important issue of ‘being’ customer focused. So what could be better than having a customer walk in the room and ask the groups to tender for an important piece of business? Teams are given a time frame where they are required to build and liaise with the customer in order to complete the Mural Project. This is a powerful and yet fun teambuilding activity that elegantly anchors Customer Focus into a conference.

‘Raising the Bar’ and getting everyone involved was the challenge for this Customer

This client was eager to do the High on Ropes Program but was concerned that not all the team would participate because of their fear of heights. We could see their genuine desire to do the program as well as their issue around getting every one involved. We took up the challenge and adjusted the High on Ropes program so that each individual could choose his or her own goals. For example, climbing the 30-metre wall could be all the way up to the top or it could be half way. Depending of course on the person’s chosen goal. We adopted this philosophy right through the course and the response was just fantastic. Every one got involved because each person’s requirements were catered for.

Recreation program for 200 delegates to experience the Bush

This financial planning organisation wanted an afternoon’s program that allowed delegates to choose their preferred activity of R & R.
Activities ranged from;

  • Team Golf
  • Team Volleyball
  • Team Tennis
  • Choices of easy, medium and hard bush walks
  • Mountain bike riding and
  • Abseiling

The response was tremendous and we had a co coordinator for each group that allowed the program to run smoothly and cater for every ones needs.

Problem Solving Challenge for 250 delegates

This legal firm had a two hour break in their conference and wanted an activity that was not recreational based and would have some learning outcomes as well as challenge this intellectually talented group. The client chose In the Zone and included it into their night program as well.

Mix of Soft Skills and Team work

This group of 50 scientists were no novices to teambuilding programs so this day had to be very different to anything they had done before. The morning included Behavioural Styles and Creating Team Synergy - Live or Die and the afternoon involved film making with the Logies Award night that capped off a fantastic day. The second day was a facilitated business ‘Round Robin’ between functional groups that provided a rich forum of breaking down barriers and understanding the needs of other groups.

Combining Evening Entertainment and Day Team Program

With limited available time in their program schedule we combined this clients evening program festivities with the teambuilding afternoon slot and produced a fantastic result. Teams collaborated and partook in the movie making program doing script work, make up costumes, prop creation in the afternoon and at night they witnessed on the big screen their efforts and applauded and laughed as they saw their creative efforts during a night of drama and celebration in the Logie Awards Program.

Scavenger Hunt with a Difference

With a desire to really getting out of the conference room this group wanted a scavenger hunt with a difference. We created for them a competitive circuit in the bush with teams on mountain bikes and using compasses they had to find some very quirky objects hidden along the paths. This combination of wheels, navigation, working in small teams and quirky objects was a perfect fit for this client.

Scavenger Hunt and Adventure in the Bush

This scavenger hunt had all the elements of 4WD, mountain bike riding, abseiling, bushwalking, boat building and more. Set on a 3000 acre property the group got to experience time together around a camp fire, picnic out in the bush for lunch and more.
